Why do we run, walk and dash for Down syndrome? Because ACCEPTANCE MATTERS. Because FAMILY MATTERS. Because LEARNING MATTERS. Because EMPOWERMENT MATTERS. Because LOVE MATTERS.

We can't wait to run, walk, dash and celebrate with you!

Don't forget to share our event link and (once completed) your fundraising page link on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram so others can support your efforts!!

About GiGi's Playhouse Rockford

GiGi’s Playhouse Rockford is a part of a National organization that is the only international network of achievement centers providing FREE life-changing therapeutic, educational and career training programs for individuals with Down syndrome, no matter their skill level or ability to pay. All programs are offered to families at NO COST in order to maximize engagement and progress. At GiGi’s Playhouse families are never alone. From a prenatal diagnosis to career skills, we make a life time commitment to our families. We also advance a global message of acceptance for all through the Generation G campaign. For these life-changing programs, our founder and “Chief Belief Officer”, Nancy Gianni, was recently named a 2016 CNN Hero!

Down syndrome is not a disease and there is no cure. It's not going away.  It's the largest chromosomal disability in our country and yet, it's the least funded. The average age to have a child with Down syndrome is 28.  Many families are first time parents and they need us. They need acceptance from day one. We empower families and give them all the tools they need for their child to succeed!

GiGi’s Playhouse helps individuals with Down syndrome get ready for the world ahead. The question remains: will the world be ready to embrace and accept them? Individuals with Down syndrome need and deserve their own voice. Unfortunately they cannot “find” their voice on their own. GiGi’s Playhouse aims to be the loudest, largest and most supportive voice in the world to help them succeed.

Better quality of life can begin now. Better jobs can be created now. Overdue social change can begin now. Tomorrow can begin TODAY, and this is why we need your help.
