GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge 2025

You DONUT want to miss this year’s San Diego Donut Run benefitting GiGi’s Playhouse. It will be held at the same location, Crown Point Shores North, on April 27, 2025.

8:00 – Registration  

9:00 – Opening Remarks  

9:15 – Kids Dash for Down Syndrome  

9:30 – Walk/Run Begins  

11 – 12 – Awards, Activities, and Community  

Each registrant receives a shirt, medal, and, of course, a donut! In order to guarantee a shirt, you must register by March 31st. T-shirts must be picked up at the event or before the event at the Playhouse in Pacific Beach during designated distribution time.  

Start a team with your friends, family, or coworkers! Team Captains that raise $500 by March 31st will get a customized sign with their team or loved one’s photo displayed along the route.   

• What is it?

The GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge - Donut Run is a 5k fun run, 1-mile walk/stroll, Dash for Down syndrome— that brings people together to raise awareness, acknowledge, and support the challenges in the Down syndrome community.  

Taking place at all our Playhouse locations across the country, the GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge is GiGi’s Playhouse largest peer-to-peer fundraiser and a fun and inclusive fitness event that the entire community can attend! 

• Why should I participate?

The money we raise from our GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge events directly funds the 340,000 hours of FREE educational, therapeutic, and career development programming GiGi’s Playhouse provides to our participants and families a year nationwide. 

Beyond this, our GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge events give entire communities the opportunity to come together with the Down syndrome community to embrace differences, foster inclusivity, and create a more ACCEPTING world!
