About Canton GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge 2023

Join us for our second annual 5k, 1 mile walk, and dash for Down syndrome! 
 
We, the people of the Down syndrome community, are challenging YOU to move for acceptance! The GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge is an event hosted by the Down syndrome community with the goal of creating universal acceptance of all people. Whether you're setting a goal to run your first 5k or want to do something fun and active with your whole family, come out and help us shift awareness to acceptance! We will have our 5k race on the towpath trail, followed by our 1-mile family-friendly walk and kids dash for Down syndrome inside the Akron Rubber Ducks stadium! 
 

Saturday, May 20th 
Canal Park in Akron | 300 S. Main St, Akron, OH 44308 
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM 
 
Registration: 
$35 per person for adults ages 16+, including event t-shirt and medal for runners 
$15 per person for anyone under 16, including event t-shirt and medals for runners 
Individuals with Down syndrome are FREE

Mission: 

To bring awareness and acceptance to every community that houses a GiGi’s Playhouse and beyond. We aim to project GiGi’s Playhouse's mission of creating global acceptance for all the masses through a fun-filled fitness event for the whole community.
